Victory Outreach Abuse...

BE CAREFUL of Victory Outreach. Before you join in on their "Vision" understand that you will be stripped of all the visions God has shown you in your life. You will be made to let go of all free thinking and the visions God has given to you. You will lose who you are and what you stand for. You will be criticised, cursed and made to serve, serve, serve. Even at the expense of your own family. Please do not get conned into this system of spiritual abuse. It is a cult. A cult is : great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work ... Sony Arganzoni, the great leader is mentioned more in the messages than Jesus Christ himself. They tell their people "We have a great inheritance because we come from the mother church in La Puente". I'm sorry, but last time I checked, our inheritance comes from Jesus Christ anf the price he paid on the cross for our sins. He predestined our lives before we were even born. Psalms 139:16... 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

1 John 4
Test the Spirits 1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

Ephesians 4:14-20
14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

PLEASE RESPOND WITH YOUR STORIES IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN A VICTIM OF SPIRITUAL ABUSE THROUGH VICTORY OUTREACH!

This message is for Marcy. Hi I went to a Victory Outreach Church Program to get off drugs. Altough I am not thrilled about the church as a whole, It did work to get me off drugs and it was the only thing that did work. I just dont think God wants that baby in an unsafe situation and Im sure it will work out for the best. No church is perfect its not a cult alot of people think they have extreme ways of doing things extensive prayer etc but that is only in the homes and it is because the people in the homes were usually so far out there on drugs and being so disobedient they try to show them some sort of discipline because they are used to none. Just pray that herself and the baby get out of there in Gods time so they can have a regular life. It is not a cult just because someone posts that online dosent make it true Its not the greatest church but it does what it promises alot of the time. I hope everything works out for you and the baby and everyone involved =)

Totally agree, Victory Outreach came to Manchester first in 2000. It,s male dominated and the women are second class citizens serving the elders, who happen all to be male. They work you like dogs for very little food and you are also deprived of sleep. They are christian fanatics and twist the bible teachings. they want ten per cent of your money even when you are in the men's home unemployed or on long term sick you are expected to give them your benefits. From Manchester I stayed in Amsterdam, where I was not allowed to visit my family. In America they had me working 12 hour days in the heat with a bottle of water and no food. In the end I had to get the sheriff to get me out of their and back to the UK as they had confiscated my passport. they prey on vulnerable people and brain wash you for free labour ad extortion. It abuses you emotionally,

they are sick !

They use mind control techniques to control the weak-minded. Recovery homes are very authoritarian, and the directors are very abusive, working their slaves on 16 hour labor jobs, fixing the pastors homes, or church, etc.

Hey raymond adam your exactly right and all the stories true and all the same M.O correct ? Well soon I want the Whole USA and the rest of the world to know and yet we have another agenda too "Our Country " !!

umm... sorry, but before you go saying anything as an informative stance... at least inform yourself of proper spelling so that you don't look like you don't really do your research.

i was once in Victory Outreach. i was a punk rocker trying to get off of drugs, so i decided to go to one of their recover homes. their home leaders tried to make me claim General Relief, but being only 18yrs old, c'mon. it wouldn't make any sense if i claimed it so young. phone calls to loved ones were no permitted. they would tell you to use a payphone, but they also make you give them your money. they work you to death for 14 hours a day and expect you to get up at 4:30AM. i would get back from working around 7pm and be asleep at 10pm. after 2 weeks there i decided to book it, which was aterrible and great decision. i was mocked, ridiculed, called names, and looked at as a traitor or something. 8 years later i got a wife, 2 kids, a home, a car, 2 dogs, and good income. it seemed The Army helped me (though i hate it to death) more than this church while getting paid really good. now they pay me a good monthly salary just to get a bachelors degree. i am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, but this church was very self glorifying and occult-like. the memories were not good ones.

I was at a Victory Outreach house in Ontario, California in 2008. I was there for three months. I admitted myself because I knew that I needed help. However, they grossly misrepresented themselves and their accommodations. If they are not a cult, they are as close to one as I have ever been.

I was there for three months, before I left walking down the street with nothing. Thank God that the true God directed me to a Salvation Army. The next day, I was at an ARC (adult rehabilitation center). I've been clean four years as of March 2012, and I'm pursuing a master's degree at the University of Wisconsin.

All of the abuses and injustices perpetrated upon me and others at Victory Outreach are too numerous to list here. So I will only mention one particularly un-Christian incident that flies in the face of drug recovery practices.

Each morning all of the guys are sent out on jobs with a sack lunch consisting of one peanut butter sandwich and a 25 cents bag of chips (no drinks). On this particular day, I worked alone at this job (menial work). I began the day at 6am, and my workday was over at 4pm. Victory Outreach left me there until 11pm that night, standing outside of the business waiting to be picked up, hungry, penniless, drug-addicted, and in an unfamiliar area. It was the true power of God that prevented me from chasing my addiction that night. No real recovery program would leave an addict alone for that amount of time, if they left them alone at all.

The living arrangements are similar to what is seen in the movie, Midnight Express. They accept anyone because it is about cheap labor, that's all.

I got to know some of the guys I was there with, and actually felt close to a few--the ones who were not fresh out of prison or gang members threatening to murder me. The house director was a big redneck with lightning bolts on his neck, who was obviously a racist. This is the Victory Outreach I know. Come to think about it, it doesn't sound like a cult. It sounds like a prison camp.

p.s. To Ryan and Marcel:

I hope you brothers made it

I am in the Victory Outreach recovery home myself, and it is not a cult, or a prison camp or anything like that. Every church has its issues, nothing is perfect but the basic values on what they do are right with the word of God. Pastor Sonny and Sister Julie are very anointed individuals that have started an amazing ministry thanks to Gods vision for them. I thank God that they answered the call upon their lives because if they didn't I would still be a heroin addict out running the streets doing whatever I needed to get my next fix. Maybe your experience with your directors or church was not the best, but do not lump all VO's in one lump. Most everyone is in the church thanks to the recovery homes, so yes they are all ex-addicts, gang members, convicts or just lost individuals. Our mission in life is to do Gods work by reaching individuals that need help in recovering their lives. I pray that God softens your heart and opens your eyes, and you stop blaspheming against the anointed ones, because God does not look kindly upon those who do that.

lived at a VO (san Jose CA) for a while and I believe it is a cult!! When you are told when to pray and for how long every day, when you are deprived food for weeks at a time and not allowed sleep for days. Something is wrong!! I have acute asthma and was told it was a sin to take my meds because it meant I didn't believe God could heal me. We were made to sell play tickets (to a very stupid play) every day for weeks. We would be dropped off at grocery stores in the morning and not picked up until very late and many times not given any food. One night I was sexually assaulted by a man in the parking lot during one of those nights, and when I reported to it the VO leader, I was told "well God protects his children, so if you were attacked it must be your fault" I would recommend you stay as far away from VO as possible!

Sorry to hear that Cassey I hope you got medical attention and the therapy that you will need. What led me to this blog is that I'm doing research on Victory Outreach and the corruption and scnadals that take place within thier churches. The reason I am doing this is because my 16 year old daughter was taken advantage of sexually by her Youth Leader that is 28 years old married with a daughter that is 12 years old. Of course this sick individual is now in jail. He is only facing
6 1/2 yrs for what he has done to my daughter. This is so pathetic because I'm positive that he has done this before I can feel it within my soul. The question is will anyone speak up, according to the authorities they can not freely question the congregation or inform them for that matter is up to the Pastor to take this action. I'm not confident that this will take place so I'm wondering how often this occurs within these churches. I knew as soon as I found out that this couldn't of been the first time he has done this, but of course because members of thier congregation are so brainwashed and manipulated the parents may not speak up. This sick pervert took my daughters purity and innocence. She will have to not only deal with the emotional healing from this abuse but the tool that it is going to take on her spiritual life is going to be even worst. I'm looking for other victims or famalies of victims to see just how common this is within thier organization. Please email me if you can help me in any way

my fiancé is a member in the men's home recovery her where I live in the city of Pomona, Ca. One night I found myself in miserable pain, I called the director and requested to have him brought to my house to care for my children while I went to the hospital. Or they could have come and helped me. I have no family near so this was my last resort. they gave me the run around and because I was in so much pain I hung up. The following morning I dropped my kids off and I rushed to the hospital. I had a bad kidney infection that spread to my intestines and stomach. I was advised to stay at the hospital for treatment but couldn't because I have no one to care for my kids. The following day I went to Friday services. Before I could enter the church, I was advised by the director that I can not talk, sit, write or have any visits with my fiancé due to the fact that I disrespected the director when I hung up. I took out my hospital paperwork and showed him that I was in a seriouse medical emergency, but they took me hanging up the phone personal and punished him and I. I accepted this two week punishment but I was recently advised I will absolutely have no contact with him for 3 months. I still attend Sunday Service but receive smerks and unwelcoming bodily language. I feel ostercized when I;m there. Rudy, my fiancé and I know each other for over 35 years, he would never act this cold towards me if not being brainwashed and or threatened. I feel as though I;ve lost him and they have permanently ingrained it in hid mind that I am toxic toward him. I don't know what to do. I keep writing to him but don't know if he is even receiving the mail or they are intercepting them(which is a federal crime). I have no way of reaching him and when he's in church they completely block his view from me and direct me where I can sit. In my eyes this is not Christ like, but abusive spirituality.

There is no such thing as a perfect church or perfect people. Just like my pastor says, he himself has done things just like us and for anyone to condemn Victory outreach as a whole because of certain people are judgemental and hypocritical. You wanna quote from the bible but judge a church because of bad experiences with certain people... I go to Victory Outreach in Portland, Oregon and have left a few times because I decided. No one kicked me out or made me feel like I should choose them over the rest. I went to other churches and went to VO at the same time. My Pastor is like family to me and even ministered my mother's memorial for free. With no complaints. This blog is slander and very rude to say the least. Maybe you should open your bible again and remember, only God can judge us.

915Great job Karmen..I too go to Victory Outreach Portland, ive been there for 13 years. I was in another church and cried out to God because I needed a church that was more than just a Sunday am one time a week church. I came out of a very spirit filled church but needed a firm foundation in the word.i also needed to be in a church where I felt comfortable about testifying about what God had dine for me. At Victorey Outreach they made me feel comfortable about talking about how God had delivered me from my drug addiction. And as for those of you who have been in the home that are so negative... Trust me I bet you worked harder for the drug dealer than you ever did doing jobs for your room and board, yeah you did and you paid for it too with your spirit, dignity, and soul.ate out of the garbage , slept under the bridge or in anybodies bed..I know because people who have MADE it through our recovery programs have told me their testimonies. God is a God of Love, but he is also a God of order and Discipline... READ your bible. AND THEY CAME AGAIMST JESUS SO GUESS WHAT THEY WILL COME AGAINST US TOO. Im sorry for those of yoyu who DIDNT MAKE IT through the home. a lot of the time people leave because they have problems with authority and don't want ti listen to what is good and safe for them... PRIDE COMETH BEFORE THE FALL.
